A personal knowledge space for things being built, learned, questioned, and picked up along the way.
One Layer Deep started with the idea of having one place for things that would otherwise end up scattered across conversations, browser tabs, private notes, unfinished documents, and memory.
Some of those things are projects. Some begin as questions and turn into research. Some become longer pieces of writing once there is enough understanding behind them. Others are simply thoughts worth keeping.
The point is not to turn everything into content. It is to leave a trail of what was interesting enough to build, learn, question, or think about at a particular point in time.
It is also a way of keeping the context around those things - what led to them, what was being figured out, and the smaller thoughts that would usually disappear once attention moves somewhere else.
Part of the value is being able to come back later and see not only what was built, but what I was curious about, what I was trying to understand, what changed, and where one thing eventually led to another.
Most places online show a carefully selected version of a person. One Layer Deep is meant to go slightly further than that - not everything, but one layer deeper into the things I spend my time learning, making, and thinking about.
There had to be a starting point.
This is it.
